A new guy for my Bot-categorie. Builded in Maya and used some parts of the spiderbot for it.
Build this VTOL just for fun. The main concept i used, was created by KaranaK (http://karanak.deviantart.com/art/VTOL-Hover-Hornet-118409481). I think i will do some animations on it later.
I started to create this scene a few months ago and continue to work on it whenever I have a bit of time for it. It's a kind of a science-fiction laboratory for testsubjects. So here are some preview-pics in grayscale with some materials assigned.
This sculpt was made by me for an assignment. It was a good exercise for hard-surfaced-sculpting and trying out the micromesh- and fibermesh-tools in ZBrush.

This guy was build in Maya, too and was an modelling- and rendering-exercise i gave myself.
This building was a modelling-exercise to learn 3DS-Max. Its a reference to the building in World of Warcraft. I decided to simulate the rope with the pennants and the lantern. The ropesimulation was made with a simple rig and the hairsystem in Maya. For the lantern and the chainlinks i used the nDynamics rigidbodys.
This wagon is part of a personal project im currently working on (see "Work in Progress"-categorie). It was build in Maya and rendered with mental-ray and the mia-material. The tools are some surgery-tools and other stuff. Reference for them was Dexters toolkit.

Recently i saw this guy in a Futurama-Episode (S09E01) and decided to build him in 3D.Also it was a good exercise to learn the toon-shading-system in Maya.
I made this character in Zbrush (sculpting, polypaint) and Maya (retopo corrections, rigging, animations) for a student-project (see Projects -> Colorkill). The retopo was made in 3D Coat. Polycount: 10.000 Tris
This weapon was also made for a studentproject and modelled in Maya. The Gameversion is split into different parts for the game. The coloured tanks are upgrades which can be picked up by the player. I started this scene from a tutorial and went then away from the original concept to follow my own ideas. The scene was build in Maya and rendered as grayscale-image with displacement-shader for the cliff and the ground. The colors were added in Photoshop.
