This tool consists of a relatively simple network which uses nearpoints to connect the points, starting from a set of given starting points.


Below is an example where I convert this growth into solid geometry

1. A lying pillarlike geometry scattered with points. Veins starting to grow from one point only on the left

2. Close Points are fused together, to create a more hard visual.

3. A polywire node adds thickness to the lines
The result in a game-engine. In this case I also had to create an special shader to create a similar looking effect, however, it’s a different animation compared to the animation in Houdini.
